The amazing thing about soup

The origin of soup correlates directly with the discovery of pottery and the invention of containers that could hold cooking liquid on the fire without breaking. This puts soup as the second oldest cooking method in history, and dates back to  500 B.C.

A little info and history on common soup ingredients:

Swede - The  rutabaga, swede, turnip, yellow turnip, or neep is a root vegetable that originated as a cross between the cabbage and the turnip.  Believed to have originated from Russia or Scandinavia.

Turnip - The turnip or white turnip is a root vegetable commonly grown in temperate climates world-wide. Small, tender varieties are grown for human consumption , while larger varieties are grown as feed for livestock .  Dates back to Roman times.

Parsnip - The parsnip is a root vegetable closely related to the carrot and parsley.  The parsnip dates back to Roman times and was used as a source of sugar.

Willow brookCaravan park

On Saturday we went to Willow brook Caravan park, we first set up camp and then I had a look around.
At 5:30 we went to feed the animals, there were sheep and cows. The cows were really big, there was a cow that didn't quite like children and then we went to have some dinner and went to sleep.
On Sunday we just sat down and rested, Nicholas and I played a bit of soccer.
On Monday we went on a nature walk and the place we went into for the walk was where the sheep and cows were. On Tuesday we went out for the day and didn't come back till 5:27 at 5:30 we went to feed the animals.
On Wednesday we went out for the day and didn't come back till 6:24.
On Thursday we packed up our stuff, said good-bye to the manager.

A world without love

1 Corinthians 13
What will the world be without love.
The world will be full of hatred and darkness. Now one would care for anyone but themselves. People would put their needs before others. It would be lonely and sad. Without love we are nothing at all because love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what other people have. It does not brag. It is not proud. It is not rude, (ect). You can give all your money to the poor but with out love you get nothing at all. With out love we are dangerous and live in evil and darkness. So the world needs love to live life to the full.

1 Corinthians 13/4-5
Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what  belongs to others. It does not brag it is not proud.   It is not rude. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of others people 's wrongs.

Journey to Jo'burg by Beverly Naidoo

This book is about a journey two children took to Johannesburg to fetch their mother, because their baby sister was sick.  On their adventure they met many kind people, who helped them. They learnt about life in the city compared to their life in the village. It made them think about their future and how they could help their own people when they are older.   I enjoyed the book, there was adventure, love, death and courage. It made me think that no matter the colour of ones skin, we are all human, and all have needs and feelings. This book has made me realise that their are people who need help to meet their basic needs, and I would like to help in some way.
The negatives was the book wasn't long enough and it did not emotionally grip me.
  I give this book a 3 1/2  out of 5
